If they come to my place and sign up for something, then they are sent directly to newsletters. And if they like the article I wrote, they will be unsubscribing and I will stop sending them emails.


The good thing I get is that if someone subscribes to my mailing list, but they don’t immediately download some of the articles I’ve written, then I won’t send them any newsletters. And the reason is that, if they don’t like my stuff, then they’ll remove it from the list, or click the “Do Not Send Me Anything” link. And if I send them emails, they won't know they like my stuff, okay, because I won't email them at all. But if they just subscribe but they like my stuff, and they don't immediately download some of my articles, they will download some of my stuff, they will like it, and then remove it from my mailing list. I've done this twice, so this is the best way to set this up. And it's very similar, at first it may seem strange, but you will quickly get used to it.





And this is very helpful when you are selling a product. Because let's say you have a product. You also have a web page that talks about the product. It also provides this free report. And all people who get free paper, but don't buy the product, will automatically opt out of their list. However, they will be subscribed to your newsletter permanently, and thus can receive the product whenever you add it.
